The Walrus and the Carpenter Mug
Off to the world of the ridiculous, what a way to start your day? A bit of whimsical nonsense to make sure you don’t take yourself too seriously! Bring a smile to your face whilst you drink your morning cuppa, with the wonderful verse from Alice in Wonderland where the poor oysters are tempted to walk along the shore, only to be eaten, every last one! The Walrus and the Carpenter Mug is a fab gift of any Alice in Wonderland fan.
“The time has come the Walrus said to talk of many things, of shoes, and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings” A wonderful poem recited by Tweedledee in Through the Looking Glass. Original John Tenniel drawing from the first edition of the book in 1865 is featured on the Walrus and the Carpenter mug.
Calligraphy hand written by me using professional glazes, the English bone china mug then goes through my kiln at 850 degrees for a whole day.
Resulting in a hard wearing, robust, durable finish, which won’t rub off or fade. (No Sharpies were used in this production!!) If you’ve never drunk your tea or coffee from English bone china, then you are in for a magical treat. A half pint of your favourite tea or coffee.
Translucent yet tough, lightweight but durable, what more could you ask for?
